HB 376
AN ACT relating to public postsecondary education institutions.
In Plain Language
This bill caps how much colleges in Kentucky can raise tuition each year—no more than 5% for Kentucky residents and 7% for out-of-state students. It locks in tuition rates for four years once a student enrolls, and colleges must tell students before that freeze ends. Any tuition or fee increases have to be approved by March 1 each year.
